Telus International closes US$250M Xavient acquisition

LAS VEGAS and SIMI VALLEY, CA – Telus International has wrapped up its acquisition Xavient Information Systems and has rebranded the global IT consulting and software services company as Xavient Digital – powered by Telus International.

The US$250 million deal was first announced in October 2017.  Telus International said Tuesday that with all conditions satisfied, it now holds a majority interest in Xavient and will purchase the remaining interest on or before December 31, 2020.

Xavient is headquartered in Simi Valley, California and has operations throughout the U.S. and in India, serving customers primarily in the telecommunications, media, entertainment, healthcare, and banking and financial services sectors.

Approximately 1,800 Xavient employees from sites across the U.S. and India will join Telus International, bringing its total employee base to over 30,000 throughout North and Central America, Europe and Asia.  Telus International said that the deal expands its global IT services offering with the addition of advanced, next-generation IT consulting and delivery capabilities, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered Digital Transformation services, User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) design, Open Source Platform services, Cloud services, Over-The-Top (OTT) solutions, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data services, DevOps, and IT Lifecycle services.
