MONTREAL – Cineflix Media has thrown its support behind a new production company that will focus on co-productions for the North American and international markets.

Connect3 Productions Inc. will work with independent producers, writers, and showrunners, connecting their projects with the right platforms and broadcast partners, reads Thursday’s news release.  It joins Cineflix’s existing joint venture line up which includes Duncan Gray’s Twenty Six 03 Entertainment and Tony Wood’s Buccaneer Media.

The company will be overseen by Pablo Salzman (pictured), the former VP of commercial affairs at Cineflix.  Most recently, Salzman led the creation and implementation of Cineflix's international development initiative for Quebec content.  At Connect3 he will continue to oversee the initiative which promotes the adaptation of French-language scripted series and formats created by Quebec producers for the English-speaking global market.

“Connect3 responds to the needs of a changing market”, said Salzman, in the release.  “Our mission is to build a community of creative partners to develop and deliver first-class content.  Connect3 already has a strong development slate including scripted and factual projects, and we’ll be announcing more details in the coming months.”

“We’re excited to be backing this new venture,” added Cineflix Media president Peter Emerson.  “By collaborating with like-minded entrepreneurs we’re building a strong global network for content creation and distribution.”
