
TORONTO – Tickets are now on sale for the 5th annual CTAM Canada Broadcaster Forum scheduled for Wednesday, October 25.

Session #1: Advanced Advertising Solutions for the Traditional PayTV Ecosystem – panel session
Canadian media companies are under increased pressure to deliver advanced advertising solutions in order to compete with online offerings that continue to gain market share year over year. In this panel, hear directly from some companies in the U.S. that are championing a new frontier for both media and distribution companies by introducing new models that will change the way advertisers see the traditional Pay TV ecosystem.
Session #2: The Value of Advertising in Non-Linear Content – A Canadian Media Perspective – panel session
While Canada may appear to be lagging behind the U.S. and other countries when it comes to advanced advertising solutions, that couldn’t be further from the truth. In this panel, experts from various media companies will talk about the where they see the ad market going and what they are hearing from advertising agencies.
Session #3: CTAM U Testimonial – speaker
Ever wondered what CTAM U is all about? CTAM Canada’s 2017 inductee, Julie Kumaria, has agreed to let us all in on her experience.
Session #4: CTAM Canada Annual Research – speaker
Gord Hendren, CTAM Canada’s resident research guru, walks us through the 2017 results and introduces an exciting new module.
Session #5: The Impact of Piracy – panel session
Pirating TV content appears to have hit the mainstream. Some estimates suggest that over 1 million Canadian households are accessing pirated TV content on a regular basis. As pirated content becomes increasingly accessible, is there anything that rights holders and legal distributors can do? This panel brings together some of the leaders in this space who are trying to put an end to this growing threat.
