Food Network Canada bakes up new competition with General Mills

TORONTO – Corus Entertainment’s Food Network Canada is teaming up with food giant General Mills Canada on the first-ever, fully-integrated special for Pillsbury and Betty Crocker’s online baking contest, Bake it Possible.

Hosted by Chopped Canada’s Brad Smith, 10 finalists will face off in a baking competition utilizing Pillsbury and Betty Crocker products and have their recipes judged by a culinary panel that includes Lynn Crawford (Chopped Canada) and Mijune Pak (Top Chef Canada) plus Pillsbury and Betty Crocker Canada marketing VP Alexander Benedet.  The winner will take home a $10,000 grand prize.

Bake it Possible premieres on Food Network Canada on September 23 at 8:00 PM ET/PT with a General Mills Canada sponsored marathon of Halloween Baking Championship preceding the premiere. The one-hour special will repeat on Cooking Channel Canada on September 30 at 8:00 PM ET/PT and on Global on October 7 at noon ET/1:00 PT.
