CALGARY – Corus-owned radio station News Talk 770 is simulcasting Global’s local evening newscast in an effort to grow its audiences across all platforms.

Global News Hour at 6 with Linda Olsen and Scott Fee is now on radio seven days a week.

"This collaboration between two great news stations is key as we keep up with our audiences changing viewing habits. Whether you’re commuting to work or putting your kids to bed, accessing the best in news content has never been easier," said Kenton Boston, VP Global News and Corus Radio, Western Canada, in the news release. “Simulcasting Global News Hour at 6 on News Talk 770 will help us grow audiences on our TV, radio and online platforms, while giving our viewers the content they want on the platform they want to receive it on.”

After Gord Gillies' move to News Talk 770 Morning News last month, Global News Calgary refreshed its line-up with the addition of Amber Schinkel and Kris Laudien weekdays on Global News Morning where they deliver news, weather, and traffic information to viewers.  Joel Senick is also joining the Global News Calgary team from Global News Saskatoon as the co-host of Global News Morning with Bindu Suri.
