TORONTO – The premier of season seven of Game Of Thrones was the most-watched episode in HBO Canada and Canadian entertainment specialty and Pay TV history.
Citing Numeris data, HBO Canada said the first episode of the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series notched over 1.8 million viewers, also making it the most-watched television program in Canada on July 16.
The episode also beat out the show’s Season 6 premiere, which held the previous ratings record, by 4%. It is available for viewing now on TMN Go and HBO Canada OnDemand.
