
QUISPAMSIS, NB – The Canadian Cable Systems Alliance (CCSA) has completed a master affiliate agreement with CBC/Radio-Canada for the distribution of CBC News Network, ICI RDI, ICI ARTV and Documentary channel.
Also included in the deal are the rights to distribute French-language ICI Explora, which offers nature, health, science and environment-themed programming.
“Concluding this agreement speaks well of the relationship CCSA has enjoyed over the years with CBC/Radio-Canada,” said CCSA CEO Jay Thomson, in the announcement. “The addition of ICI EXPLORA is a welcomed enhancement to the deal and we are pleased to promote these services to the CCSA Membership.”
“The new agreement will allow CCSA’s membership to continue to receive the best news and information content, cultural and arts programming and documentaries, in English and French”, added Elizabeth Heurtelou, CBC/Radio-Canada’s director of subscription services, sales and marketing. “We look forward to continuing our valued partnership with the association and all of its Member Companies across Canada, for many years to come.”
