TORONTO – Blue Ant Media has named Sam Sniderman to the newly created position of global head, commercial affairs, production.
Coinciding with Blue Ant’s recent acquisition of RACAT Group, this role will have overall commercial responsibility for the company’s growing number of global production businesses, reads Monday’s announcement.
Sniderman (pictured) is formerly the global chief operating officer and film and entertainment MD at Pulse Films (a Vice Media company).
In his new role operating out of Blue Ant’s UK office, Sniderman will have responsibility for the financial and commercial performance of the company’s international production businesses, Antenna Pictures, NHNZ and Northern Pictures, while also working with the leadership at each of the production houses to develop and uncover new global business opportunities. He will also have oversight, on behalf of Blue Ant Media, of Beach House Pictures, a joint venture with company founders, Jocelyn Little and Donovan Chan.
“As Blue Ant Media continues its international content expansion, it is critical that we have the right talent in place to spearhead the commercial aspects of our global production business,” said television & digital CEO Raja Khanna, in the announcement. “Sam brings to the table an acute commercial mindset, with a natural understanding for the creative process and those who lead it. He is ideally experienced to take on this new role at our company.”
