TORONTO – Blue Ant Media’s Omnia Media announced the launch of its digital production studio and a slate of new original short-form and long-form content.
Coinciding with the studio launch is the release ofhe 72 new original, short-form videos for CBC Life in Canada and women’s lifestyle platform Makeful in the U.S. The content was produced in Canada in association with CBC and includes 48 tabletop videos and four hosted series starring popular Canadian social media influencers and YouTuber creators, with a collective following of over 3.5 million followers across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. Programming hosts include YouTube DIY experts Kelsey MacDermaid and Becky Wright of The Sorry Girls (pictured); sewing maven Wendy Liu of WITHWENDY; baking expert and cookbook author Tara O’Brady, and vegan food influencer Olivia Biermann of Liv’s Healthy Life.
All 72 videos will roll out in the U.S. on bemakeful.com as well as Makeful’s social platforms including Facebook, YouTube and Instagram. In Canada, the videos will be released exclusively on CBC Life, the public broadcaster’s destination for lifestyle content, and on its associated YouTube and social media platforms.
Omnia Media’s collaboration with CBC comes on the heels of its partnership with YouTube in co-producing its first digital kids series, Kings of Altlantis, released in March on YouTube Kids for YouTube Red subscribers.
“Omnia Media has sharpened our focus to producing premium original digital content over the past year, as evidenced by several market leading distribution partnerships”, said Omnia Media CEO David Brown. “This robust slate of Makeful videos and our partnership with a leading linear broadcaster, like CBC, speaks to the quality of our original productions.”
