TORONTO – Three new original Canadian series from Gusto Worldwide Media are set to join Gusto’s slate of homegrown programming in 2017/2018, Bell Media said Tuesday.

The roster of new commissioned series, which will all begin production in 4K across Ontario this summer, includes retro-themed baking series Flour Power, helmed by Gusto newcomer Jessica McGovern; Ontario food market and local ingredient exploration series Fresh Market Dinners; and barbecue cookout Watts On The Grill starring chef extraordinaire Spencer Watts (pictured).

Gusto also announced that it has kicked off production on season 3 of original Canadian series One World Kitchen and its ongoing exploration of new and intriguing global cuisines.  A fresh set of hosts will serve up modern and traditional Cantonese, Greek, Lebanese, and Vietnamese recipes.  Episodes of One World Kitchen air Monday – Wednesday at 7:00 PM ET on Gusto.

“Gusto provides Bell Media with a unique opportunity to produce new and diverse lifestyle content that complements the network’s current programming lineup,” said Bell Media’s VP of CTV and specialty programming Pat DiVittorio, in the news release.  “Offering something for every type of viewer, these three new productions bolster Gusto’s already strong roster of original series and specials.”

“We’re really excited about these three new series,” added Gusto Worldwide Media president and CEO Chris Knight.  “Flour Power is a concept that we’ve never done before, Fresh Market Dinners is going to inspire viewers to cook with fresh, local produce, and I know viewers are going to be excited to see Spencer Watts show off his barbecue talents in Watts On The Grill.”
