
TORONTO – Distributel’s TV and broadband provider Xinflix Media is teaming up with Chinese provincial broadcaster HNTV to co-promote a China-Canada martial arts competition here in Canada.
Xinflix Media/HNTV in collaboration with the Council of Amateur Sport Kickboxing will present the first annual Wu Lin Feng (WLF) East-West Kickboxing Battle Series 2017 at Hershey Centre in Mississauga on May 16 at 6:00 PM.
WLF is the most popular and longest running martial arts competition TV program in China. WLF TV is produced by HNTV, the official broadcaster of Henan Province, and reaches over 600 million viewers annually across China and Asia, reads the news release. Over the past decade, WLF TV has expanded internationally and partnered with international broadcasters and martial arts teams by taking part in competitions in the United States, Australia, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Iran, Morocco, and Vietnam.
"This is the first opportunity for martial arts fans to see the #1 team of Chinese kickboxers compete on Canadian soil”, said Xinflix Media founder and CEO Patrick Hung, in the news release. “This will be the first in an annual series that we hope will last many decades."
