MONTREAL – Just in time for spring break, Videotron is offering a new service designed to help its mobile customers avoid roaming charge shock.
Daily Traveller Pass enables customers with unlimited voice and text messaging plans to pay a flat fee of $6 per day in the U.S. or $10 per day in more than 100 other countries to use their mobile device abroad, just as if they were home.
In addition, customers only pay for what they use while roaming, up to a maximum of 10 days in the U.S. (for a maximum of $60) and 20 days abroad (for a maximum of $200) per billing cycle. They may also track their data usage in real time with the User Centre + mobile app.
Videotron is also offering a mobile device protection program that it says goes above and beyond the standard cell phone warranty to cover accidental damage, including water damage.
