TORONTO – CraveTV will begin streaming new and current Showtime TV series day-and-date with Showtime in the U.S., the Bell Media service said Monday.
The strategy will begin next month with the premiere of The Affair on November 20 at 10:00 PM ET, and will also include new seasons of hits Billions, Dice, Episodes and Ray Donovan. New Showtime series premiering on CraveTV in 2017 will include the David Lynch drama Twin Peaks, Jim Carrey’s I’m Dying Up Here and limited series Guerilla, plus season 5 of Homeland and season 4 of Masters of Sex.
Bell Media’s The Movie Network will continue to have the Canadian linear premieres of all Showtime programming, but will start sharing that window with CraveTV with the debut of The Affair.
"Launching Showtime in a first-window on CraveTV is a true game-changer for the service and for Canada's TV lovers," said Bell Media’s president of distribution and pay Tracey Pearce, in the news release. "Offering subscribers streaming access to one of the best collections of content in the world, without delay, immediately makes CraveTV an unmatched value proposition."
