
TORONTO – Bell Media’s Gusto is launching a new reality show that will see competitors overcome decor challenges for a chance to work with IKEA Canada.
Hosted by The Marilyn Denis Show’s design expert Tommy Smythe, The Search For Canada’s Next Designer features six up-and-coming Canadian design experts who will work with IKEA Canada products each week to showcase their innovative design skills. The grand prize winner nabs a trip to Sweden and a design contract with IKEA Canada.
The six-episode, 30-minute series will air Sundays at 9:00 PM ET, beginning October 16 on Gusto, with encores on CTV Two, Thursdays at 10:00 PM ET, beginning October 20.
“Collaborating with the innovative team at IKEA and their agency Jungle Media on The Search For Canada’s Next Designer has allowed Bell Media to raise the bar for how we integrate brands on TV,” said Alyson Walker, Bell Media’s VP brand partnerships, in the news release. “Partnering with IKEA for our first foray into a series-wide integrated partnership on a specialty channel has been an incredible experience.”
