MARKHAM, ON – The Ontario Association of Broadcasters is seeking nominations from member stations for their best public service campaign(s) and best station promotions for the 2015/2016 broadcast year.

Winners will be selected in both Large and Small Market categories, and awards will be presented at the OAB annual conference, Gala Awards Luncheon, scheduled for November 10, 2016 at the Marriott Toronto Airport Hotel.

The OAB’s Promotion Award will be awarded to the station that best promotes itself.  Promotions will be judged on originality, station benefit, goals achieved and impact in the community, and winning campaigns will have online components, be multi-faceted and focused.

Community Service Awards are presented to stations for their outstanding contributions of airtime and staffing to worthwhile organizations in their respective communities. This program acknowledges the generosity of broadcasters and also recognizes the creativity in creating a successful public service campaign. The success of these causes in many cases lies with the broadcaster's ability to promote and encourage people.

Eligible campaigns must have run during the 2015/2016 broadcast year.  Submissions will be accepted here before October 21, 2016.
