MONTREAL – The city of Montreal will kick off its 375th anniversary celebrations later this year with a variety show scheduled to air simultaneously across four French-language TV networks.

ICI Radio-Canada Télé, Télé-Québec, TVA and V have pledged to air the 90 minute special on Sunday, December 11.  Created and produced by Salvail & Co., the show will feature local and international artists who share a special connection with the city and highlight events planned for 2017.

"We wanted to create a buzz around the presentation of the program," said Gilbert Rozon, Commissioner for Montréal's 375th Anniversary Celebrations, in the news release.  "The partnership of four major networks is exceptional. With this simultaneous broadcast, we'll experience a unique moment in television! This is an invitation to everyone who loves Montréal to come celebrate our city's dynamism in 2017."
