VANCOUVER – Denver-based Cologix has completed a major expansion to its VAN2 data centre in downtown Vancouver, offering customers immediate access to up to 750kW of new, high density data centre capacity.
The expansion includes the same chimney-based hot air containment system as deployed in the first phase, which allows for power densities in excess of 10kW per cabinet. Customers also have neutral access to 40+ network service and cloud service providers to future proof their IT deployments.
The company added that local Vancouver businesses have already signed to occupy 25% of the expansion space.
"Vancouver has been one of Cologix's fastest growing markets," said CEO Grant van Rooyen, in the news release. "We are proud of the role we play to help facilitate connections within the technology ecosystem in Vancouver and look forward to continued investment in the market."
