Space’s ‘Orphan Black’ after show heads south to BBC America

TORONTO – Space’s Orphan Black after show After The Black has been picked up by BBC America for U.S. audiences starting next month.

The Bell Media network said that it’s home-grown insider series will air day and date with Space on BBCA beginning April 14 at 11:00 PM ET, immediately following the premiere of Season 4 of Orphan Black.

Shot at Bell Media’s Toronto studios and hosted by Ajay Fry, Morgan Hoffman, and Teddy Wilson (pictured), each 30-minute episode features in-depth discussions with Orphan Black cast, crew, and other special guests as well as lively discussions about plot hints and twists, theories on future episodes, and behind-the-scenes footage from the set.  Also featured each week is an exclusive first look at the next episode of Orphan Black.

Orphan Black boasts an incredibly engaged and passionate fan base, and we’re thrilled to be part of their community with After The Black,” said Nanci MacLean, Bell Media’s VP in-house productions, in the news release.  “The series is a go-to source for all things Orphan Black, and we’re delighted that our partners at BBC America are bringing a new audience to join the conversation.”

According to the press release, After The Black has retained an average audience of 111,000 passionate Orphan Black viewers to dissect and discuss each new episode since its debut on April 11, 2015.
