TORONTO – Listeners of Corus’ 102.1 the Edge (CFNY-FM) in Toronto will soon hear a familiar voice during their morning drive, once Entertainment Tonight Canada’s Rick Campanelli signs on beginning June 27.

The Canadian media personality will co-host the Edge morning show alongside Fred Kennedy and Mel Mariani, weekdays from 5:30 to 9:00 AM.  Campanelli (pictured) first came onto the Canadian media scene in 1994 as a MuchMusic VJ where he did everything from interview big name artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam to sky dive live on-air with the Foo Fighters.  He left MuchMusic to co-host ET Canada on Global in 2005, where he will continue when he joins the Edge.

"Rick has his finger on the pulse of music and pop culture, making him a perfect fit for our station,” said 102.1 the Edge program director Ross MacLeod, in the news release.  “This dynamic group of personalities will have listeners looking forward to weekday mornings.”
