VANCOUVER – Wind Mobile has begun its planned network upgrade with improvements in the Vancouver area.

The wireless provider said Tuesday that its recently acquired wireless spectrum plus new antennas and equipment provide customers with more capacity, faster data speed and improved call quality.

"Wind customers in the Greater Vancouver area are already noticing better performance as we upgrade every aspect of our network components," said Dean Price, Wind’s VP and GM for the Western Region, in the news release. "We expect to have our Greater Vancouver coverage area completed by the end of January 2016."
