DHX Media, Dreamworks Animation’s new content pact to include original kids content

HALIFAX - DHX Media has inked a five-year agreement with DreamWorks Animation (DWA) to co-produce 130 episodes of original animated children’s content at DHX Studios.Content under the deal will air on DHX Television’s channels, which includes Family Channel, Family Jr., Family CHRGD and Télémagino. DHX will handle distribution for the content in Canada and DWA will distribute to the rest of the world, reads Tuesday’s news release.In addition, DHX Media has licensed more than 1,000 half-hours of television programming from DWA, making DHX Television the exclusive television network for this television content in Canada.
