TORONTO – Broadcast audience measurement company Numeris has named Neil McEneaney as its new president and CEO, effective January 11, 2016.

McEneaney, pictured, has been with CBC for the last 15 years, most recently as its chief business officer, reads Tuesday’s announcement.  Prior to this, he spent nine years in print where he held various senior leadership roles at the National Post and The Gazette as part of Southam Inc.

McEneaney will be replacing outgoing president and CEO Jim MacLeod who announced his retirement from Numeris in April of this year.

“The Numeris Board feels that Neil’s extensive leadership experience and knowledge of our industry will provide him with the skills necessary to move Numeris forward and solidify its position among the world’s elite media measurement companies,” said Numeris chair Gerry MacKrell, in the announcement.

"It is a privilege and an honour to be joining Numeris and an incredibly talented team which provides world class broadcast measurement and consumer behavior data to the media industry,” added McEneaney. “This is a very exciting time as Numeris continues to provide leadership, innovation and inform the media industry as we navigate through a constantly evolving and complicated media landscape.”

Operating since 1944, Numeris provides broadcast measurement and consumer behaviour data, as well as industry-leading intelligence, to a membership and licensee base that includes Canadian broadcasters, advertisers and agencies, as well as other broadcast-related organizations.
