WINNIPEG – MTS has teamed up with Winnipeg-based The Bros. Landreth on a television commercial promoting an Internet plan.

The :30 spot, currently on air, features MTS' animated spokesperson Morty (pictured) as the indie rockers cover Cole Porter's classic "Don't Fence Me In”.

"At MTS, we're always looking for ways to support Manitobans and give back to our community, particularly in the arts", said MTS Allstream chief customer officer Heather Tulk, in the news release.  "The Bros. Landreth is one of Winnipeg's best up and coming bands and we're so happy that we get to showcase them and share their talent with the rest of the province."

An alternative, folk group whose sound is influenced by blues, roots and rock, The Bros. Landreth was first formed in 2013 by brothers Joey and David Landreth.  The band won the 2015 Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year – Group, and recently partnered with Spotify Canada to release a new EP titled 'Undercover Bros.' which includes covers of some of the band's favourite songs, with one song being rolled out each week until November 7th.

"When MTS approached us about covering Cole Porter for them, we jumped at the opportunity" added lead singer Joey Landreth. "We're big fans of the original song, so we're very grateful to MTS for the chance to put our spin on it and share our sound with Manitobans across the province."
