Corus announces new EVP of Human Resources

TORONTO – Corus Entertainment has named Cheryl Fullerton as executive vice-president, People to lead all functions of its Human Resources department.

Effective immediately, Fullerton will oversee the company’s Human Resources activities, including people engagement, rewards and recognition, and talent attraction and development. She will report to president and CEO Doug Murphy.

Fullerton joins Corus from Maple Leaf Foods where, for the past 10 years, she held various executive positions, most recently as VP of Leadership. In that role, she was responsible for designing and executing an integrated HR strategy to maximize company performance. Previously, she held senior positions at Morneau Sobeco (now Morneau Shepell) and Sobeys Capital Inc.

"Our people are at the core of our business and Cheryl brings a proven track record of strong and dynamic leadership to this vital role," said Murphy, in Monday’s announcement.  "Her extensive experience in developing and executing successful people strategies will be an asset to the company as we leverage the strength and capabilities of our team in a rapidly-evolving industry."
