TORONTO – Corus Entertainment launched TV Everywhere apps Watch Disney Channel, YTVGo and NickGO this week.
The apps are available at no additional charge to subscribers of Disney Channel, YTV and Nickelodeon services in Canada on iOS and Android devices, and may be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or Google Play in Canada.
Users will receive live linear programming, on-demand episodes, and bonus content that can be streamed on tablet and mobile devices.
The Watch Disney Channel app (pictured) offers on-demand episodes from popular series like Austin & Ally, K.C. Undercover, Liv & Maddie and Girl Meets World, as well as a selection of Disney Junior and Disney XD episodes from series Sofia the First, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc McStuffins, Star War Rebels, Gravity Falls, and Wander Over Yonder. Episodes will be refreshed weekly.
YTVGo includes SpongeBob SquarePants, Some Assembly Required, Make It Pop, Max & Shred and Fairly OddParents, while NickGO offers Nick series like iCarly, Rabbids Invasion, Every Witch Way, Sam & Cat and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Content will be refreshed monthly and new series will be added in tandem with the network series premieres.
Corus' apps are built using You.i Engine software, developed by Ottawa-based startup You.i TV, which powers the user experience across all platforms. These apps are also supported by technologies from the Platform, Adobe Primetime, Penthera, Akamai and Elemental.
