TORONTO – Rogers Radio is teaming up with YouTube on a new radio show designed to spotlight Canadian and international YouTube stars.

Hosted by Rogers Radio personalities Blake Carter and Adam Wylde (Blake & Wylde, KiSS 92.5 – pictured), YouTube Hits promises a weekly roundup of YouTube’s most-talked-about viral events and emerging talent, and will feature the week's top songs, biggest chart debut, best cover song, and top entertainment news from around the world, through YouTube's global network of influencers.

“This partnership with YouTube was a natural marriage with our Rogers Radio youth brands as we continue to evolve to meet the changing needs of our audiences,” said Rogers’ Radio SVP Julie Adam, in the news release. “YouTube has emerged not only as the delivery platform for some of the world’s biggest trendsetters, but also as a powerful incubator for new talent. Curating and condensing the best of this content in one place for our audiences is top of mind for us in giving our listeners a unique experience when tuning to our stations.”

YouTube Hits on Rogers radio stations will help showcase the diversity and breadth of talent on YouTube, and support great new music from today’s biggest names and emerging stars,” added Brian Mandler, YouTube Canada’s music content partnerships manager.  “Together we’re connecting more Canadians with their favourite artists and YouTube stars, and helping fans discover new music from Canada and all over the world.”
