TORONTO – Halloween is still weeks away, but Wind Mobile said Monday that its new promotional offer will put an end to “cell phone bill horror stories” and "scary data overages".
The wireless company has cut the price of its $45 plan to $39 per month for both new and existing customers, and promised that the lower rate will apply for the duration of the customer's time with Wind. The plan offers unlimited data, unlimited calls to Canada and the USA, unlimited global text, and international calling rates starting at 1¢/min, in addition to reduced roaming rates in over 50 countries.
The press release added that a recent Google consumer survey conducted by Wind Mobile shows that more than one third of Canadians (36%) feel that their cell phone bills are too high, and that of those of respondents, 36% are "most concerned" about data overages on their next phone bill.
