Nominations open for OAB’s community service awards

MARKHAM, ON – Calling all successful public service campaigns – the Ontario Association of Broadcasters is now accepting applications from its member stations for the annual Community Service Awards.

The Community Service Awards recognizes a station's commitment to their community through their contribution to worthy causes.  Entries will be judged on how the project was initiated and the objectives; application of originality and creativity; role of the station in the overall project; investment of the station in production, airtime and staff involvement; and overall benefit to the community and/or specific groups, including how the results were measured.

Submissions will be accepted here through October 23, 2015.  The Community Service Awards presentation will be held at the OAB Gala Award Dinner, scheduled for November 10 at the Marriott Toronto Airport Hotel in Toronto.
