
TORONTO – Corus Entertainment has promoted Chris Sisam to general manager for Corus Radio Toronto and Hamilton, effective immediately.
In this new role, Sisam (pictured) will provide leadership and direction to Corus’ three stations in Toronto – Q107, 102.1 the Edge and Talk Radio AM640 – as well as continue his oversight of the Hamilton stations which include 95.3 Fresh Radio, Y108 and AM900 CHML, reads the announcement.
Most recently, Sisam was regional general manager, Corus Radio Western Ontario, where he led the Hamilton, London, Kitchener and Guelph markets. Prior to that, he was general manager at Corus Radio Toronto and vice-president of Corus Radio Sales. He is also a member of the Radio Executive Committee at Numeris, has served on the Board of the National Advertising Benevolent Society (NABS) and Canadian Broadcast Sales (CBS).
“Chris’ proven track record of driving revenue and achieving success in our radio markets will be a tremendous asset to our Toronto operations,” said Corus Radio and Corus Média president Mario Cecchini, in Wednesday’s announcement. “We look forward to Chris bringing his results-oriented leadership style to the Toronto cluster as we continue to grow our stations in this important market.”
