‘The Ongoing History of New Music’ radio series debuts on YouTube

TORONTO – Canada’s longest running radio documentary, The Ongoing History of New Music, is adding video and starring in its very own YouTube channel.

With more than 6,000 one-minute audio installments, the popular syndicated series launched on YouTube with new 60-second animated clips that take fans on a visual storytelling experience behind music's rich history. From "Who coined the term Grunge" to the "Longest-lasting rock bands", the videos profile musicians and the untold stories behind modern music, plus offer interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. 

Fans who subscribe to the channel will get all the latest videos as new content is released on a weekly basis. Visit the series' YouTube Channel page to subscribe or to view the current video library.

"With so many years of incredible stories, The Ongoing History of New Music on YouTube gives fans a new destination to discover, connect and share on the music and artists they love," said host Alan Cross, in the news release. "It's incredible to see what is normally heard on air come to life with these new animated videos."

The Ongoing History of New Music can also be heard Sunday's at 7:00 PM ET and Monday's at midnight ET on Toronto’s 102.1 the Edge (CFNY-FM).
