MONTREAL – Stingray was awarded a Special Jury Prize at the 10th International Interactive TV (ITV) Awards in Paris last month at a ceremony that brought together key players in the interactive and media industry.
The ITV Awards, organized by the Association for the Development of Enhanced TV Services and Interactivity (AFDESI), honour the accomplishments of companies worldwide in the area of interactive live television services and concept development. This year’s jury consisted of Janine Langlois Glandier (Forum Media Mobiles), Robert Briel (Broadband TV News), Serge Siritzky (Ecran Total), Thierry Ventouras (Radio Television Suisse) and Boris Martin (ABMWare).
Stingray said that the Special Jury Prize was created at the jury’s request to honour the quality and innovation of the Stingray Music TV app developed for AT&T U-verse, which allows its nearly 6 million TV subscribers access to the Stingray Music and Stingray Music Videos TV apps and their 136 curated music channels and thousands of music videos.
This marks the second ITV award for Stingray after the company won the Best Entertainment Application for The Karaoke Channel application in 2012.
