Free the fish, World Fishing Network opens up for April

DENVER and TORONTO – Just in time for spring, World Fishing Network will be available on a free preview to cable, satellite and telco subscribers in North America for the month of April and into early May.

Dedicated to the angling lifestyle, the network’s programming includes instruction, tips, travel, tournaments, cooking, boating and outdoor recreation with some of the most recognized personalities in the angling community.  Starting April 4, World Fishing Network will begin airing 21 new and returning shows with new episodes, including original productions JP DeRose Breaking Boundaries, Bill Boyce’s Cali and Hookin’ Up with Mariko Izumi, along with network exclusives like Timmy Horton Outdoors.

Participating TV providers in Canada include Access Communications, Bell, Cable Cable, CCAP, Cogeco, Eastlink, Execulink, Hay Communications, HuronTel, Markdale Cable, Mitchell Seaforth, MTS, NorthwesTel, Novus, Rogers, SaskTel, Shaw Cable, Shaw Direct, Source Cable, TBayTel, Telus, Videotron, Westman Communications and Wightman Telecom.

To celebrate this international free preview, World Fishing Network is giving away daily and weekly prizes to viewers (click here for details).  Also aligning with the April free preview, World Fishing Network has partnered with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to release 3,000 catfish into Tropical Park, located in the Miami-Dade (Fla.) area, on April 14.  Following this release, the local waters will be well stocked for the ¡Vamos a Pescar! (Take Me Fishing) event, celebrating the fun and joy of fishing that will take place on April 18, 2015.
