TORONTO – Telus has joined forces with RingCentral on Telus Business Connect, an advanced suite of cloud-based communications tools designed for small businesses.

Telus Business Connect includes local and toll-free numbers, an automated attendant and call routing, unlimited Canadian and U.S. calling, audio and video conferencing, plus wireless back-up for office internet access. For employees on the go, the solution offers a single number that can be used across a mobile phone, tablet, IP desk phone or PC, as well as mobile apps that help them stay connected to business tools like voicemail, fax and conferencing, no matter where they are.

Small businesses can now enjoy enterprise-grade functionality with minimal upfront investment and without the need for additional technical resources. As a cloud-based offering, the service can be purchased on a per-user basis, providing the ability to add and remove users quickly as a business grows or to meet seasonal shifts in demand. Telus also helps businesses manage cash flow by offering payment plans for IP desk phones, and new users can be added as a monthly operating expense without any upfront costs.

“The way we work is changing, and traditional enterprise phone systems can be complicated, costly and ineffective for small businesses," said Jim Senko, Telus’ SVP of small business and emerging markets, in the news release.  "Telus Business Connect provides an affordable, fully-featured suite of communications tools; so our customers can spend less time worrying about their phone system and more time concentrating on growing their business."
