CALGARY – Shaw Communications is offering residents of Thunder Bay, ON free access to its Shaw Go WiFi network now through February 22, 2015.
Shaw Go WiFi is offering carrier-grade Internet connectivity at over 800 hotspots across the city, allowing users to access content on the go using their portable connected devices while avoiding potentially expensive cellular data charges. Residents who are not Shaw customers can connect to the network for free on their laptop and mobile devices by selecting "ShawGuest" on the list of available WiFi hotspots at participating locations and following the steps to register their devices. Registration for the service only needs to be done once, after which users can simply login in with their email address and password.
Thunder Bay residents can visit shaw.ca/freetrial for more information, or to pre-register for the service. A full list of locations is available at www.shaw.ca/wifi or by downloading the Shaw Go WiFi Finder App.
"Canadians love the Internet, and are increasingly looking for access to a quality connection at the places they visit the most, be it at work, at a coffee shop or in a public park," said Shaw’s VP Operations Katherine Emberly, in the news release. "This trial will give Thunder Bay residents and visitors the chance to sample Canada's largest WiFi Network, and discover why hundreds-of-thousands of Shaw customers across the country love Shaw Go WiFi."
