EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is calling for papers and presentations for technical sessions to be conducted during Cable-Tec Expo 2015, which is set for October 13 – 16 in New Orleans, LA.

The Expo 2015 program committee is targeting papers in four key areas: business-to-business: driving revenue; wireless services: from 4G to LG and beyond; wireline access: evolving the HFC access network; and next-generation services: leveraging all-IP, cloud, and apps.  It is desired that all sessions be interactive and include case studies whenever possible.  Other topics addressing current cable industry technical, engineering, operational practices, workforce training, and business issues will also be considered.

Enter each submission separately online at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2015 Abstract Submissions by February 17, 2015.

Interested presenters should submit a one-page abstract (300 words max.) which identifies the overall theme (Business-to-Business: driving revenue; Wireless Services: from 4G to LG and beyond; Wireline Access: evolving the HFC access network; and Next-Generation Services: leveraging all-IP, cloud, and apps).  It must also include the paper title, a brief description of the proposed session content, the name of author/presenter, company, mailing address, telephone/fax numbers, and e-mail address.

Previously published papers and product-specific presentations will not be accepted. Abstracts must be tailored for workshop learning and provide real-world examples that attendees can apply to their everyday work. Note that more unique sessions will be offered this year so that the number of presenters per session can be reduced and the depth and coverage of technical content can be accordingly increased for better learning.

The program committee will announce the selected presentations by March 30, and selected speakers are required to submit electronic versions of their supporting white paper and an associated PowerPoint presentation to be given at the event by July 17.
