NEW YORK – Anthem Media Group has signed a wide-ranging partnership with digital sports content producer and distributor CineSport, the companies announced Monday.
Launched in 2007, CineSport is a digital video platform that offers sports news, features and analysis through online, mobile, social and connected TV applications. It is currently syndicated to over 400 web sites including MSN.com, The Boston Globe, Philadelphia Inquirer/Daily News, Atlanta Journal Constitution, and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The agreement will see CineSport curate and distribute content from Anthem Media’s Fantasy Sports Network and Fight Network to its network of news and information sites. In addition, CineSport will also collaborate in the development of Anthem’s SportsGrid.com, a top 10 U.S.-based general sports site, into a video-centric sports portal, and create original content for Anthem’s TV and web properties.
“CineSport’s ability to create and distribute video content across platforms is unparalleled in the industry,” said Anthem Media Group founder and CEO Leonard Asper, in the news release. “They truly understand how to program each medium to optimize reach and engage users, and this partnership will significantly expand Anthem’s reach and marketing capabilities.”
“Anthem understands the value of content and how to program to the hard-to-reach millennial male”, added CineSport CEO and founder Gregg Winik. “Their content is a perfect fit for the expansion of CineSport’s network, and their TV outlets offer CineSport an excellent complement and cross-promotion opportunity to our web, mobile and social distribution.”
