TORONTO – Rogers Media Sales SVP Jack Tomik is leaving the company at the end of this month after completing the launch and implementation of Rogers Media’s integrated multiplatform sales service model known as One Call.

He will be replaced by Alan Dark (pictured), currently vice president of national sales for Rogers Media, effective November 3.  Tomik will work with Dark, a key leader on Tomik’s sales leadership team, to ensure a seamless transition, reads Wednesday's announcement.

“Jack was hired to create and launch our new sales service model, and he did that with great success in less than two years.  The architecture is complete, and the structure and the people are in place”, said Rogers Media president Keith Pelley, in the announcement.  “Al is the logical leader to build on Jack’s legacy.  During his six months at Rogers, Al has delivered holistic advertising solutions to best serve clients’ needs and has a proven track record in driving revenue.  Al is well positioned to take the reins at Rogers Media Sales to drive continued growth.”

Dark joined Rogers Media in April.  In his new role, he will lead the Rogers Media sales team, strategy, and consolidation of advertising revenue across the company’s television, radio, publishing and digital teams.  Dark will also oversee revenue planning and serve as a member of Rogers Media's senior leadership team. Prior to joining Rogers, Dark served as General Manager of The Revenue Group at CBC since 2012, where he led the Sales, Marketing, Digital, Innovation, Revenue Management, Sales Operations, Licensing, and Affiliate Sales teams responsible for all aspects and products within the CBC media portfolio.

“Jack had the bold vision to create One Call, delivering added value to our clients through integrated opportunities across our suite of assets”, Dark said.  “It’s been a privilege to call Jack my mentor and friend, and I look forward to following in his footsteps and continuing the momentum.”
