EXTON, PA – The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) will shine a spotlight on next-generation service delivery with its Canadian Summit 2014 Webinar Series, comprising a pair of exclusive member technical webinars in June.
The events are designed to increase learning for cable engineering professionals in Canada and beyond, continue SCTE’s increased focus on virtual educational opportunities that reduce travel costs and time investment, while maximizing personal and organizational efficiency.
The upcoming sessions will be:
– Tuesday, June 10 (2:00-3:00 PM Eastern) – Seamless Evolution to an All-Digital Network, a discussion led by Robert Lamarche, senior solution manager for Huawei, of how cable operators can accommodate the need for bandwidth, services, innovation and reduced costs by evolving to all-fiber networks.
– Tuesday, June 24 (2:00-3:00 PM Eastern) – Migration Paths to Full CCAP Functionality, a discussion led by John Ulm, ARRIS Group, Inc. Fellow of the Technical Staff, on how – given the advent of new distributed architectures like Remote PHY and Remote CCAP – traditional CCAP systems might evolve over the next decade to meet current and future capacity needs.
Registration for individual sessions or the entire series is available here. The series is free to SCTE members, and individual sessions are $29 for non-members.
