Gusto TV cooks up ‘seven in seven’ new primetime series

OTTAWA – Food and lifestyle channel Gusto TV is serving up seven new food series in seven days starting May 12.

From its first Vietnamese food series, Luke Nguyen’s Greater Mekong, to a foodie voyage on the Orient Express in Jonathan Phang’s Gourmet Trains, to a tour of Northern England by a former Coronation Street star Sean Wilson in Great Northern Cookbook, the new series will take Gusto viewers on unique and fascinating culinary journeys.

“We’ve cooked up an unprecedented slate of fresh television for Canadians, featuring some of the world’s most exciting food shows and destinations,” said VP and GM Mark Prasuhn, in the news release.  “From butchers to bakers to gourmet train takers – we’ve got an impressive new line-up of first-run programming for food lovers.”

Gusto’s ‘Seven in Seven’ lineup includes:

Jonathan Phang’s Gourmet Trains – premiering May 12, airs Mondays at 8:00 PM EST;

Secret Meat Business – premiering May 12, airs Mondays at 10:00 PM and 10:30 PM EST and Tuesdays at 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM EST;

Ask the Butcher – premieres May 13, airs Tuesdays at 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM EST;

Great Northern Cookbook – premiers May 14, airs Wednesdays at 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM EST;

Paul Hollywood’s Pies and Puds – premiers May 15, airs Thursdays at 7:00 PM EST;

Luke Nguyen’s Greater Mekong – premiers May 16, airs Fridays at 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM EST; and

Island Feast with Peter Kuruvita – premiers May 16, airs Sundays at 8:00 PM and 8:30 PM EST.
