TORONTO – Julie Hope has been named COO of Halfire Entertainment, the company said Wednesday.
Hope, (pictured), has more than 20 years of experience working on television, film, and digital properties, most recently as CFO at Insight Productions. Over her career, she has held senior leadership roles at Canadian broadcasters and production companies and has been actively engaged in all aspects of financial management including business strategy, raising capital, tax planning, financial reporting, corporate governance, and acquisitions.
Reporting to president Noreen Halpern and a member of the company’s senior management team, Hope will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day corporate operations beginning March 31.
“Julie is a highly analytical and creative thinker whose many skills mesh perfectly with our non-traditional, inventive approach and I’m ecstatic she’s joining us,” said Halpern, in the announcement. “Julie will help build Halfire into an increasingly more dynamic creator of television content as we expand our production and development slates and collaborate with the best creators and writers in the business.”
