TORONTO – Shaw Media’s Andrew Eddy is off to Harvard in June as this year’s recipient of the CTAM Canada Fellowship Award, also known as CTAM U.
Eddy (pictured) is vice president content distribution with Shaw Media where he has been actively involved in building Shaw’s portfolio of lifestyle, factual and dramatic specialty channels as well as steering TV Everywhere initiatives. Prior to joining Shaw, he held a number of senior roles with Corus Entertainment, including VP content distribution and strategy and VP and general manager for Movie Central/HBO Canada.
An active participant in the wider industry, he has previously served on the board of CTAM Canada, and was a board member of the Canadian Television Fund.
Now in its 17th year, the executive management program is a week-long intensive learning series held at the Harvard Business School (HBS). The program focuses on strategic marketing and business principles through a detailed case study curriculum administered by HBS professors and key industry leaders.
After becoming a corporate patron of the executive management program at the Harvard Business School in 2006, CTAM Canada has committed to sponsor a chapter member to attend the program annually. Participants of the program are chosen through an application process and selected by a special committee made up of CTAM Canada executives. The program takes place in Boston from June 8 – 13, 2014 and will include senior executives within the North American cable and broadcast industry.
