TORONTO – News aficionados can keep up to date while on the go with the launch of CTV News Go and CP24 Go on Tuesday.
The new digital products are available free online at CTVNews.ca and CP24.com, on Apple iOS devices and Android phones and tablets. The apps offer an intuitive, easy-to-use experience that automatically delivers the best video quality to each user regardless of their Internet connection.
CTV News Go provides live and on-demand video from the top stories of the day, nightly newscast CTV National News With Lisa Laflamme, and other local and national news programs. TV subscribers can also watch a live stream of CTV News Channel with its 24/7 news coverage.
For the first time, CP24 brings its 24/7 coverage to iPads and Android devices, increasing the channel’s presence across multiple platforms. As with CTV News Go, CP24 Go is also free and its news coverage and video clips are available to all users. CP24 TV subscribers can also access a live stream of Toronto’s breaking news channel and catch on up their favourite CP24 talk shows both online and in the new apps.
“We are delighted to provide viewers a new way to turn to Canada’s most-trusted news source wherever and whenever they need it,” said CTV News president Wendy Freeman, in the press release. “As Canada’s go-to source for local, national, and international headlines, the CTV News Go and CP24 Go products underscore our commitment to news delivery across multiple platforms, making it easy for viewers to stay connected to the headlines anytime and anywhere.”
