TORONTO – Digital out-of-home company Broadcast Live Digital Corp. (BFLD) is targeting waiting rooms in the Canadian health care centre with patient-friendly content known as ‘medutainment’.

The company says that it has created a unique approach to content creation and management with a methodology that stimulates the ‘point of care’ audience geared specifically at primary care physician offices.  On Monday, the company confirmed the activation and deployment of 25 locations in the Canadian health care sector.

CEO Robert Oswald said that the growth opportunity in this segment “weighs in on a statistic that supports our revenue model for advertising and sponsorship with wait times averaging 43 minutes”.

"With these well-defined demographics and significant patient flow, the BFLD medical news network will achieve revenue at an above average rate," he said in the press release.  "Advertisers look for real impressions, those eyes that watch the screen, BFLD validates them and offers a rate card that is hard to pass up."

BFLD through its wholly owned subsidiary TECH9 Inc. offers national installation services, managed network services and commercial grade hardware to location-based healthcare and retail companies in all areas of digital media.
