TORONTO – CHCH’s parent company Channel Zero announced on Tuesday the new hosts of CHCH’s new Tiny Talent Time.

Jason Agnew and Jaclyn Colville (pictured) will host the reboot of the beloved Canadian family program with 12 new 30-minute weekly episodes set to begin September 6, 2014.

Agnew is the current host of The LAW: Live Audio Wrestling radio program, as well as Newstalk1010’s Sunday Morning Trivia radio show. He has also served as a game host on programs such as Brain Battle on Global Television and Door to Door on the Travel+Escape Network, and is also one of  the wisecracking play-by-play commentators on YTV & Nickelodeon’s Splatalot.

Colville is a host on CHCH’s Morning Live First Edition from 4 to 6 a.m. and on Morning Live from 6 to 10am. A lifelong performer, she plays piano and danced competitively for many years.

CHCH received an overwhelming responses to its casting call held in September for the program. Tiny Talent Time producers are currently reviewing submissions by children eager to have their moment in the spotlight.

The original Tiny Talent Time program, which ran for 35 years, was hosted by Bill Lawrence. Now in his 80s, the Hamilton resident hopes the new hosts will listen to the young performers and work with them.

“Remember that they are the stars,” Lawrence said in a CHCH press release. “I hope the new show continues the tradition of showcasing children from various skill levels, performance styles, and ages. The original Tiny Talent Time was created during a kinder, gentler time – and I hope to see some of that gentleness reflected in the new show.”
