TORONTO – HBO Canada is offering a free digital sampling opportunity for new comedy series Getting On and Ja’mie: Private School Girl, following their broadcast premieres last Sunday night.

In Eastern Canada, the first episode of both series is available now to non-subscribers through December 23 at TMN GO, hbocanada.com, HBO Canada OnDemand, and on the on-demand platforms of participating television providers.  In Western Canada, the episodes will be available to non-subscribers on hbocanada.com and on the on-demand platforms of participating television providers starting December 1.

A critical and ratings success in the U.K., the HBO adaptation of Getting On is a dark medical comedy set in the women’s extended-care facility of a Long Beach hospital.  Following the daily lives of the unit’s nurses, doctors, and administrators, the series is a brutally candid and quietly compassionate look into the realities of caring for the elderly.

Ja’mie: Private School Girl follows eponymous school captain Ja’mie during the last few months of her final year at Hillford Girls Grammar School, including the trials and responsibilities that come with being the “most well-known” girl on campus, her academic and charity work, social life and relationships with family.

HBO Canada is a multiplex channel of Corus Entertainment’s Movie Central (Western Canada) and Bell Media’s The Movie Network (Eastern Canada).
