MONTREAL – Videotron announced today it will release a new movie called Only God Forgives to its customers on July 19 – the same day the film opens in the theatres.
Videotron customers will be able to watch the thriller from Danish director/screenwriter Nicolas Winding-Refn on illico TV (channel 900), illico.tv or illico mobile.
The movie, which stars Ryan Gosling and Kristin Scott-Thomas, is distributed by Les Films Séville, a subsidiary of Entertainment One.
“In its 10th year of existence, illico on Demand is again breaking new ground by bringing movie buffs a one-of-a-kind, eagerly awaited film,” said Isabelle Dessureault, Videotron's VP of content operations and public affairs, in a release. “More than ever, Videotron is determined to offer its customers the best content and the best entertainment experience, across all platforms.”
Only God Forgives was an official selection at the Cannes film festival and won the top prize at the Sydney Film Festival in June.
