IROQUOIS, ONT. – Ross Video has acquired U.S. research development company Montalto, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Financial terms of the deal were not available.
Montalto’s team of broadcast routing systems experts, many of whom formerly worked Harris Broadcast and Leitch and have acquired a reputation for innovation product development, will now be responsible for Ross’s routing systems line, as well as for developing new technology and products for the company’s openGear product line.
With the acquisition, Montalto’s Virginia Beach location now becomes Ross Video’s newest development lab for routing systems development. Ross Video also has R&D labs in Boston and California, Ottawa, Brussels, Belgium, Hilversum in The Netherlands, and Melbourne, Australia.
