LORETTE, MB. – MTS announced today that crews will begin deploying the telco’s MTS FiON network in Lorette this summer, with plans to launch new services later this year.
“Since 2010, MTS has invested several million dollars to bring this world-class technology to communities throughout Manitoba,” said MTS president Kelvin Shepherd in a release. “I’m pleased that residents in Lorette will soon enjoy MTS Ultimate TV, as well as the many other benefits the MTS FiON Network has to offer.”
The expansion to Lorette is part of a multi-year program to deploy MTS’s fibre-to-the-home network to over 20 communities in Manitoba. MTS launched the MTS FiON Network in 2010 and has since covered more than 25,000 homes in Selkirk, Steinbach, Dauphin, Thompson, The Pas, Neepawa, Carberry, Minnedosa, Killarney, and in select areas of Winnipeg and Brandon.
