Telus launches Optik TV in Squamish

Squamish, B.C. – Telus announced today it has invested $4.5 million to bring Optik TV and high speed Internet to more Squamish residences.

Also, for the next six months the company will contribute $25 on behalf of every new Optik TV customer in Squamish (to a maximum of $30,000) to support the Squamish Trails Society in their improvements to the Golf Course and Spawning Channel trails. These improvements will encourage safer outdoor activities and travel to school and work for area residents.

“The re-surfacing of these frequently-used trails has been a priority for a number of years. We are grateful that, with this gift from Telus, we can ensure safer use for our area residents and visitors,” said Bob Brant, Squamish Trails Society, in the Telus press release. “These trails are well-worn due to their popularity and are often the culprit of rolled ankles or bumps and bruises. We’re excited that this resurfacing will make the trails safer, encouraging more families to make use of our beautiful surroundings.”
