AUX digital magazine now available on Android

TORONTO – A year after its launch as Canada’s first interactive, tablet-exclusive magazine, Blue Ant Media’s AUX Magazine  expanding its availability this week to Android devices.

Winner of Best Tablet Application at the 2012 Digi Awards and Music Magazine of the Year at the international 2012 Digital Magazine Awards, AUX is a free monthly digital music magazine providing in-depth coverage on topics for modern music fans.

It is also currently one of the top three digital magazines in Canada and the U.S. in the iTunes App Store’s “Movies & Music” category, recently surpassing more than 200,000 downloads.

The June 2013 anniversary issue features American indie rock band The National. Samsung Canada is an exclusive sponsor of that issue, and will also sponsor industry-leading page insertions and a feature dedicated to emerging, independent and alternative artists for eight issues of the publication.

“It’s been an incredible first year for AUX Magazine. We now have the opportunity to reach a whole new mobile audience, globally, delivering the first fully interactive music magazine on Android,” said Ryan Fuss, VP digital solutions, Blue Ant Media, in a release. “Samsung’s support of AUX, and their desire to connect with audiences in ways that push the boundaries of the digital medium, is a testament to the fact that content marketing is a model of the future.”

Android users can download AUX Magazine on Google Play.
